So grab your roommate, some buddies, your parents, or even just yourself and head on out to check out these great spots near your USF apartment.
Liang's Bistro Asian Cuisine
Located on Bruce B Downs Blvd, Liang's Asian Cuisine serves up some of the best and freshest Asian food you can find. Start out the night with one of their amazing appetizers. The word on the street is that vegetable dumplings will be one of the most delicious things you will ever eat. Their menu is super accommodating with a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options available. If you love spicy food, be sure to check out their delicious General Tso's dish with either steak, chicken, or shrimp – it's an instant hit.
Are-Pitas
If you love fusion food, you will definitely need to check out this spot. Fusing together Lebanese and Venezuelan food, Are-Pitas has some delicious, and unique, food for you to try. If you've never had an arepa before, the classic Venezuelan dish is a flat and round patty made of maize that can be grilled, steamed, baked, or fried and is topped with a variety of different ingredients. If you have to feed a picky person, this might be the perfect place for them. While they eat a classic (and still very delicious) cheese arepa, you can check out Chicken Shawarma arepa. This delicious dish is filled with chicken shawarma, lettuce, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. No matter who you're bringing to dinner, you'll definitely find something for everyone.
Gaspar's Patio Bar and Grille
If you're looking for a place to grab some classic American food and hang out, Gaspar's Patio and Grille is sure to fit that bill. With a large menu with everything from flatbreads to oysters and a variety of craft beers, this family-owned restaurant is the perfect place to bring your family or hang out with some friends. The must-trys on this menu include the jumbo wings and the burgers. They even have karaoke, live music, and pool tables. The best part of this restaurant? They are super dog friendly. So, you don't have to leave your furry friend behind, bring him with you to help you hit the town.
Mel's Hot Dogs
If you're looking for a quick bite to eat or something easily grab and go, Mel's Hot Dogs is great. It's located near you USF apartment, gets great reviews, and has delicious food. Perfect for the college kid on a budget, you can get Mel's Special Hot Dog, which is served on a poppy seed bun with mustard, onions, sauerkraut, relish, and pickles for a whopping $3.75. They don't just serve hot dogs, they have a variety of different foods like sausages, Chicago beef, and even a fried chicken breast sandwich. This is a definite stop for all USF students.
