Coming to the University of South Florida and need some good sushi recommendations? Don't worry, I know some of the best sushi restaurants around USF. I also know some other places to get sushi, if you are looking to eat on a budget! Going away for college can be scary, and so can leaving your favorite food places behind too! That's why I have found some of the best recommendations, to fulfill your sushi craving!
Sake House near USF
Of course I had to start off with my favorite sushi place near USF which is Sake House! I would definitely say this is a fan favorite among the students at USF, and the most popular place to get sushi around. Sake House is located off Bruce B Downs, and is only about a 5-10 minute drive from campus. Sake House offers a wide variety of sushi options, but they also offer other items on their menu such as steak and chicken. If you're 21+ they also have a happy hour menu, as well as both indoor and outdoor seating. Something else I love about Sake House is that they are pet friendly, so if you're a college student with a dog no problem! Sake House has some of my favorite foods, such as their delicious dynamite roll which is a must try as well.
Koizi endless hibachi & sushi
One of my other favorite places to get sushi from is definitely Koizi! This is in my hometown, so it was great to have one near my USF apartment! This is definitely the place if you want a more sit down vibe. Koizi is a little farther from campus, but it has a huge menu and is great if you're going with a group of your friends! They also offer an all you can eat menu, so it's a great option if you want to get a lot of food for cheap. I also think both of these sushi locations would be great if you need a quiet place to study as well. Both places offer comfy seating options, if you want to study while having a quick bite to eat!
Cheap sushi options near USF
We all know that as a college student, you are always trying to find the cheapest options for eating out. Food is expensive, and sometimes you don't always want to cook, that is why I found some cheap options so you can still enjoy your favorite sushi roll after class.
Publix is definitely the way to go if you're looking to get some quick and cheap sushi. On the USF campus, they have a mini publix where you can always find the refrigerator stocked with sushi rolls. This is a great option if you are living on campus without a car because you can walk right over! Another great option if you are looking for cheap sushi is going to Sprouts. There is a Sprouts located just 5 min away from USF, and they are my personal favorite for getting cheap sushi rolls. Something else that Sprouts does is $5 sushi Wednesdays, where you can get any sushi roll for $5! As a college student on a budget who loves sushi this is definitely a plus. Finding your favorite foods in a new place can be intimidating, but now you know some of the best places to find sushi around USF.
